Lighthouse

I'm still in the beginning stages of illustrating my book, but I'm starting to play with color schemes and figuring out the feel I'm looking for. Here's an environment and color study on illustration board, covered with a colored gesso with some tooth, and done in colored pencil. I'm not sure what I think about it yet. I'll have to play with it some more.

Grandma's Portrait
