How About Some Rain?

I love rainy weather. It's SO close to raining outside, I can just feel it. It wants to rain, but it can't. Maybe tomorrow it will find the courage..

Just Some Thoughts...

I went to a show on Friday at the Plush Cafe in Downtown Fullerton. It was this musician named Tyrone Wells (really great music, you should listen!) and I really appreciated what he had to say and the kinds of songs he sang. He has one song called Dream Like New York and it talks about following your dreams and taking whatever you are passionate about and pursuing it. It got me thinking about my own dreams and what I want to do with my life. I still don't know for sure what I will end up doing, but I DO know that I want to do Children's Book illustrations. Not only does it just seem fun, but I feel like I can make a difference in people's lives at a young age. Children are influenced very easily by the things they see and listen to so I want to be able to send them positive, moral messages that will aid in their becoming a good person. I want to be able to use the talents that I have been blessed with to bless others and make some difference in this world. Art makes emotional impacts when it is good art, and I want to make good art that will emotionally touch people in such as way that they dwell in it for awhile and eventually take some kind of action or makes some kind of change in their own life. I don't want to simply make art, I want to make a difference, even if it is just in one person's life. Then it will all be worth it...
